A Letter to All from Dr. Gina!

We love to make people "SmileOutLoud".  Here are some of the ways we try to go above and beyond.

Brushing and complete plaque removal is stressed at every appointment. The entire team reviews each patient’s ability to remove all plaque from their teeth and gives them tips to easily brush each tooth clean.  We watch them practice their brushing skills while in the chair and have mirrors attached to our chair lights allowing patients to evaluate brushing and to see what we are doing when adjusting their appliances.   

We immediately send letters to each patients general dentist when we see a patient in our office for an orthodontic consultation.  As a courtesy, we always include any x-rays we may have taken.  If they also are referred to an oral surgeon or a periodontist, we send a referral letter along with any x-rays we have taken. 

Our patients have access to all their photos and x-rays online at our secure site. They have access 24/7 to a record of upcoming appointments and ledger activity. Appointment reminders are emailed and patients may sign up for text reminders delivered a day before and the day of their appointment. All patients enter their health history and insurance information directly on our website providing us with everything we need before they ever walk into our office. Monthly payments may also be made directly through our website. Invisalign patients can see their treatment plan, aligner by aligner, which is very exciting for them as they track their progress.  We are continually amazed at how often www.smileoutloud.com is accessed by our patients and we feel it is a very useful tool we have available for each patient. 

We have various treatment plans for our patients, depending on their treatment needs.  We welcome families, offering free consults for family members and cost of treatment discounts for family members as they join in treatment. 

There are no additional fees charged when Dr. Pinamonti incorporates special appliances into her treatment plans for the patients.  TADS, FRED, and no cost LASER treatments are a part of her normal treatment plans the patients can expect to have available if necessary.

We have a 24 hour emergency line that goes directly to one of our team members.  We will try assisting patients in getting comfortable, talking them through the emergency, especially if it is something they can correct without making a trip to the office.  If an office visit is necessary, we make every effort to get them in as soon as possible. 

As each patient leaves our office, we ask their parent or responsible party to come back to our “goodbye mirror” to review treatment accomplished at the appointment, advise of expected tenderness they may experience, and keep parents and patients informed on how their treatment is progressing. 

Communication is the key to good relations and as with our patients, we hope that all doctors or team members will feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or comments.
